I’m not a programmer, but it seems every typical Web language (PHP, ASP, Ruby (Rails), etc.) doesn’t escape HTML by default when it absolutely should.

Every once in a while, a tech publication will claim something like the above as the reason why OS X/Linux is pretty much immune to virus attacks. It’s the most ridiculous and unfounded reason ever. You’re telling me not one virus creator...
