Consoles like the XB360 use PC architectures and Sony’s recent statement about possibly moving to a PC setup and abandoning the RISC / PPC &”Cell” for a more developer friendly PC setup can be hugely effected by this development; more importantly, Apple and other mobile devices could start seeing major improvements upon their ability to play solid full on game titles.
